Job Summary:
The Ecommerce Web & Optimization Specialist is a hands-on execution role responsible for the day-to-day performance, accuracy, and optimization of BEDGEAR’s Shopify ecommerce experience. Working closely with the Ecommerce Manager and Consumer Marketing team, this role owns site hygiene, product uploads, and the CRO roadmap while executing front-end updates using HTML, CSS, and Shopify Liquid. This position blends technical execution with data-driven optimization, requiring a strong understanding of UX, ecommerce best practices, analytics, and emerging AI-powered tools used for reporting, insight generation, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience and conversion performance.
Essential Functions (included but not limited to):
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & User Experience
- Own overall site hygiene, ensuring content accuracy, functional integrity, merchandising alignment, and a consistent, high-quality user experience.
- Ensure product detail pages are optimized for UX, conversion, SEO/GEO, and clear performance-based storytelling.
- Develop and maintain the CRO roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and executing optimization opportunities.
- Analyze user behavior, engagement patterns, and friction points using GA4, Microsoft Clarity, and related analytics tools.
- Recommend and implement UX and content enhancements that improve conversion, engagement, and discoverability.
Web Execution & Ecommerce Operations
- Execute front-end ecommerce updates using HTML, CSS, and Shopify Liquid in support of merchandising, promotions, and optimization initiatives.
- Manage product uploads, updates, and site content changes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Partner with Ecommerce, Marketing, and Creative teams to translate business and design requirements into functional site execution.
- Test and validate site changes prior to release to ensure accuracy, functionality, and consistency across devices.
- Support ecommerce operational needs related to launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
Reporting, Analytics & AI Enablement
- Track and measure performance of CRO initiatives, site updates, and content changes, reporting results and insights.
- Organize, analyze, and summarize ecommerce performance data using Excel, GA4, and other analytics platforms.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to assist with reporting, performance analysis, content optimization, and insight generation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the Ecommerce Manager to inform optimization priorities and roadmap planning.
Development & Technical Execution
- Execute ongoing site enhancements including landing pages, navigation updates, merchandising adjustments, and promotional content aligned with SEO and GEO best practices.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues related to layout, responsiveness, usability, performance, and search visibility.
- Implement and quality-assure Shopify theme updates while maintaining site stability and scalability.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility through structured testing and issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation and standardized workflows for site updates, releases, and recurring development tasks.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Web Development, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4+ years of experience in ecommerce, web optimization, or digital marketing roles.
- Proven experience owning and executing CRO initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with design tools such as Figma.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and ecommerce experimentation.
