Summary: Responsible for providing site support to local employees and the Human Capital team by aiding in all matters relating to personnel and administration.

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

  • Owns local non-exempt recruitment process and supports overall recruiting function; reviewing/updating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, resume review, phone screenings, interview scheduling, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating setup and attending career fairs, open houses, college campus events, and other recruitment opportunities as they arise.
  • Provide customer service to employees, supervisors, and managers by answering questions on company and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist with weekly payroll and attendance points review, reporting any anomalies to the HR Ops Manager for further review and ensuring that any reported/required documentation (doctors notes, jury duty forms, funeral programs, etc.) has been received by HR and saved to the employee file.
  • Collect, reviews, and reports monthly perfect attendance, and quarterly incentive program achievements to HR Ops Manager by designated deadlines.
  • Coordinate with department supervisors and managers to ensure that timely action is being taken on Corrective Actions as it relates to the administration of our site attendance policy.
  • Assist with preparation of COS letters, increase letters, or termination packets as needed.
  • Responsible for conducting New Hire Orientation & Welcome Tour.
  • Maintain site Employee Call-out log, and Emergency Contact Roster.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and canceling site security access badges and alarm codes as needed.
  • Coordinate employee New Hire (Our Story & Believe, Product Knowledge, and Dept intro’s) and EHS trainings with relevant employees, managers, and trainers for both SC and NY locations.
  • Track and maintain training database (in HRIS) for all RH employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of RH asset tracking forms, as well as documenting asset issuance and return within Paycor.
  • Tracking employee signoffs when new policies or procedures are implemented to ensure that all employees are aware, trained, and have received a copy of said policy/procedure.
  • Be a BEDGEAR Values Champion by assisting with the creation and implementation of engagement activities that represent our company core values.
  • Set up and preparation of employee appreciation initiatives such as monthly food trucks, monthly birthdays, work anniversaries, team building activities, etc. Provide administrative support to senior HR rep locally; assisting with clerical duties as assigned.
  • Support department by assisting with special projects/assignments as requested my management.
  • Ensure job postings, labor law posters, WC info, and company news bulletin boards stay up to date
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Legal research on local, state, and federal employment laws; continually takes steps to maintain the most up-to-date knowledge via webinars, whitepapers, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office


Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, work on a computer screen for an extended period, and frequently speak on the phone and in person.

Environmental: Exposure to various environments during travel to/from different sites however work is generally performed indoors at home office or within retail stores.

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent relative experience
  • Experience with HRIS preferred
  • 3+ years in Human Resources or Administrative role
  • 2+ years in a fast-paced office environment preferred
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • High volume data entry with accuracy and speed
  • Clerical experience (answering phones, booking appointments, filing, faxing, scanning, etc.)


Language Skills: English proficiency; Oral/Written communication skills.

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, prioritize effectively, use sound judgment to make rational decisions, ability to recognize opportunities and evoke change where applicable, must be objective v. subjective, must have thorough understanding of company’s confidentiality agreement.

Work Environment:  Fast-paced environment; often exposed to stressful and uncomfortable situations; must be able to maintain professional composure; must work well with others in team environment; must be comfortable with professional confrontation.
