Job Summary: The Inventory Planner at BEDGEAR plays a critical role in maintaining optimal inventory levels in all facilities. This position oversees material planning, supply analysis, and procurement coordination to ensure the right materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand. Partnering closely with Forecasting and Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics, the Inventory Planner drives accuracy, visibility, and efficiency in the supply chain while identifying continuous improvement opportunities through KPI reporting and analytics.
Inventory Planning & Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods across multiple facilities to support production and fulfillment.
- Develop, monitor, and execute inventory strategies aligned with sales forecasts, product lifecycles, and business growth initiatives.
- Track and report daily and weekly inventory performance, identifying gaps, overages, and at-risk materials.
- Minimize obsolete and excess stock by managing lifecycle transitions, SKU rationalization, and safety stock requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align promotional activities and product launches with available inventory.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) for materials and finished goods, ensuring on-time delivery and cost accuracy.
- Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers to balance lead times, MOQ, and replenishment schedules.
- Work with Logistics to coordinate inbound shipments and manage inter-facility transfers.
- Support APICS-aligned procurement practices and vendor performance monitoring.
Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and track key performance metrics such as inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and stock availability.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for planning variances and inventory discrepancies, proposing corrective actions.
- Utilize ERP (NetSuite) and advanced Excel/Power BI tools to build data-driven reports and dashboards.
- Present supply performance summaries and risk analysis to the leadership team.

Skills:
- Advanced Excel and ERP (NetSuite or equivalent) proficiency.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-departmental coordination.
- Ability to interpret complex data and convert insights into actionable plans.
- Experience in multi-facility or international supply environments preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
- Successful completion of a drug test and criminal background check is required.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in material or inventory planning, preferably within a manufacturing or wholesale environment.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.
- Support additional planning tasks and reporting as directed.
