Summary: BEDGEAR’s recent expansion of over 10,000 square feet to our corporate headquarters has created a need for a reliable and proactive Facilities Services Associate. This hands-on role plays a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of our office, showroom, and shared spaces. Responsibilities span janitorial duties, light maintenance, physical labor, and general support for workplace operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing manual tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for all employees.

 

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

  • Clean and maintain interior spaces including offices, restrooms, showroom, breakrooms, nursing/prayer room, fitness center, and shared workspaces. Kitchen cleaning includes cleaning of refrigerators, stoves, sinks, microwaves, coffee machines, and emptying of dishwashers daily. Office cleaning includes monitors, tables, desks, shelves, computers, chairs, rugs, floors, door handles, walls, and windows.
  • Perform deep cleaning of high-touch and high-reach surfaces such as monitors/keyboards, desks, baseboards, light fixtures, windows, ductwork, exit signs, and beams.
  • Operate floor sweepers and other janitorial equipment to maintain floors and surfaces.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility’s exterior, including truck/trailer areas, ensuring they remain clear of debris.
  • Stock cleaning supplies and communicate restocking needs to the Office Administrator.
  • Perform cleaning of the facility's interior walls keeping them free of dust, cobwebs, and spider webs.
  • Create a monthly cleaning calendar to communicate deep cleaning assignments to management team.
  • Assist with facility-related projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

 

Manual Labor & Office Support:

  • Move office furniture, boxes, and equipment as required for office reorganizations, events, or facility changes.
  • Assist with event setups and furniture breakdowns.

 

Operational Readiness & Communication:

  • Respond quickly to facility emergencies such as water spills, equipment fluid leaks, broken glass, or safety hazards.
  • Report facility concerns promptly to management.
  • Maintain open communication with the management team about equipment use and facility needs.

Skills: 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance, custodial services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation; certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and equipment handling.
  • Skilled in operating powered cleaning and maintenance equipment such as floor sweepers and vacuums.
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and tools, including Microsoft Office, for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures with the ability to identify and respond to potential hazards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proven physical endurance and the ability to perform demanding manual labor tasks, including frequent lifting, moving, and bending.

 

Education/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Must be willing and able to submit to pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Must be able to pass all safety training tests

 

Environmental: Primarily indoor, climate-controlled corporate office and showroom environment. Work areas include open-plan offices, meeting rooms, breakrooms, and general facility interiors. Occasional movement through warehouse areas may be required for certain tasks. Minimal exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, or harsh conditions.

 

Work Environment:  This role is based in a professional corporate headquarters with climate control and standard office conditions. The environment is clean, organized, and designed for employee comfort and productivity. While the majority of work is conducted indoors, the role may occasionally require entering warehouse or loading dock areas to assist with tasks or move materials.
