Summary: The Maintenance & Facilities Technician will ensure the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of our facility and equipment. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across production machinery, building systems, and facility utilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency.



Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing issues as needed.
  • Assist in facility maintenance projects, including installations, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Support recycling initiatives, including material separation and waste management.
  • Maintain interior and exterior facility conditions, such as lighting, HVAC systems, and general cleanliness.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain power industrial trucks (PIT) and other facility-related equipment.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including inclement weather preparations and facility safety measures.
  • Participate in annual training programs related to equipment operation, safety, and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.

MUST HAVE:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in manufacturing facility maintenance
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office

 

Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, work on a computer screen, and frequently speak on the phone.

 

Environmental: Factory setting, large open area, exposure to heavy machinery and motorized vehicles, exposure to extreme temperatures, loud and fast-paced environment, and occasional stressful situations. Limited Climate Control.

 

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • 1-3 Years previous maintenance experience, in a manufacturing facility a plus
  • Forklift operation and electrical experience a plus

 

Language Skills: English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension). Knowledge of an additional language(s) is a plus!

 

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra

 

Reasoning Ability: Solid understanding of branding and marketing communications strategies and tactics; excellent planning and problem-solving skills with limited resources; ability to effectively prioritize and project manage multiple assignments at any given time. Ability to use judgement to make important decisions.

 

Work Environment:  Manufacturing/Warehouse setting. Loud and fast-paced environment, limited climate control.
