Schedule: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch break); may need additional availability on occasion for special projects etc.
Salary: $40k-50k Dependent on experience, Benefits, PTO, 401k

Description: The Quality Management System Coordinator will contribute to develop, implement and maintain the organization’s quality assurance system; ensures Bedgear Quality Management System (QMS) aligns with ISO 9001 standard, the quality procedures and policies of the organization are coordinated and fully implemented throughout the Rock Hill manufacturing facilities.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Contribute to develop, document and implement quality management system including standard operation processes and procedures that align to ISO 9001 standard. Improve the quality of Bedgear’s products and services by use of a continuous improvement model, assure conformance to specification and minimize process and product variability.
  • Establish and maintain QMS documentation (quality manual, document control, specifications, non-conformance records, corrective and preventive actions documentation, customer complaints and RMA records, Internal audit record, all the forms, charts, SOPs, work instructions that consist of quality management system documentation.
  • Maintain and update overall quality specifications and standards for raw materials, process control and finished products.
  • Helps to drive implementation of quality control plans including raw materials, working in process and finished products testing and inspection control procedures that will meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Developing key performance indicator (KPI) tracking and reporting for continuous improvement related to the quality of manufactured product as measured by first time yield and shipped product as measured by Customer Complaint (CCR) vs. historical data; additional quality standards will also be measured, as defined by the management.
  • In conjunction with sales and customer service, investigate customer quality complaints and report findings to the director of Q&C within 48 hours of receipt. Participate in root cause and corrective actions as required.
  • Communicates with purchasing and follow up quality issues from the vendors for corrective and preventive actions. Tracking and review supplier/vendors quality performance, participate vendor review program
  • Assists in the review of Quality Assurance program and the formulation of new or revised procedures to effect improvement, reduce cost and enhance efficiency on an organization-wide basis.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to complete essential functions of the job with our without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • Proficiency of computer and data handling skills / MS Word, Excel, Outlook and typical ERP system

Education /Experience / License Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (Technical) degree (BS) from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-year experiences in Quality Assurance
  • Knowledge and training of ISO 9001 quality management system
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, textiles preferred
