Job Summary:

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for translating Merchandising-defined product positioning into compelling, consistent, and revenue-driving narratives across DTC, retail, marketplaces, and paid channels. This role leads product messaging execution, launch asset strategy, competitive monitoring, and claims alignment to ensure assortment and pricing decisions are clearly and effectively communicated across all customer-facing touchpoints. The role supports commercial performance through strong narrative execution but does not define core positioning strategy or own SKU planning.

 

Essential Functions (included but not limited to):

Product Messaging & Positioning Execution

  • Translate Merchandising-defined positioning into clear, differentiated, and channel-ready messaging.
  • Develop product value propositions, feature-to-benefit articulation, and supporting proof points.
  • Establish and maintain consistent messaging hierarchies across DTC, retail, marketplaces, and paid channels.
  • Refine messaging based on competitive insights, customer feedback, and performance trends.

Launch Messaging & Cross-Channel Alignment

  • Lead messaging development for new product launches across all customer-facing channels.
  • Create structured launch briefs to guide Creative, eCommerce, Paid Media, Retail and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure launch asset readiness and alignment across digital and retail environments.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support coordinated go-to-market execution.

Competitive Intelligence & Claims Governance

  • Monitor competitor positioning, claims, assortment strategies, and pricing tiers.
  • Maintain competitive battlecards and comparison tools for internal teams.
  • Ensure product claims are accurate, compliant, and consistent across all touchpoints.
  • Identify and resolve claim discrepancies proactively.

Retail & Commercial Enablement

  • Develop sell-in storytelling materials and product education tools to support Retail Marketing.
  • Provide structured messaging toolkits to internal stakeholders to drive consistency and clarity.

eCommerce & Marketplace Collaboration

  • Partner with eCommerce to maintain messaging integrity across PDPs, category pages, and marketplace listings.
  • Support copy optimization efforts aligned with engagement and conversion objectives.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to translate product features into compelling customer-facing benefits.

  • Experience supporting cross-channel product launches.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and messaging consistency.
  • Ability to analyze competitive positioning and articulate differentiation clearly.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required

 

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, or Category Marketing.
  • Experience working alongside Merchandising or Commercial teams.
  • Experience in consumer products or retail environments preferred.
