Summary:  The Talent Acquisition Specialist role is crucial in driving our recruitment initiatives across the company. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies, building partnerships with educational institutions, attending job fairs and events, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. The role requires travel to offsite events and close collaboration with various departments to meet the company’s talent needs.

 

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

 

Talent Acquisition:

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to identify the best fit for the organization’s needs.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting to offer negotiation.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance on recruitment strategies.

Recruitment Strategy Development:

  • Create and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all levels and departments, including both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal updates, and best practices to continuously improve recruitment processes and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Partnerships & Events:

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to develop a talent pipeline.
  • Represent BEDGEAR at career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment-related activities.

Onboarding & Coordination:

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Coordinate with various departments to schedule onboarding activities, including orientation, training, and presentations.
  • Conduct onboarding presentations for Human Capital & Culture and ensure new hires have all the necessary resources and information.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office

 

Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to read paperwork, work on a computer screen for an extended period of time, and frequently speak on the phone.

 

Environmental: N/A - indoor office environment. Not a remote position; must be able to work in office daily.

 

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in talent acquisition or a similar role. Employment agency experience preferred.
  • Membership in SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

 

Language Skills: English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension). Knowledge of an additional language(s) is a plus!

 

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra

 

Reasoning Ability: Solid understanding of talent acquisition strategies and tactics; excellent planning and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively prioritize and project manage multiple assignments at any given time. Ability to use judgement to make important decisions.
