Job Summary:
The SEO & Content Specialist supports BEDGEAR’s organic growth by executing tactical search engine optimization initiatives, producing educational and conversion-focused content, and tracking performance across traditional and AI-driven search environments. This role applies on-page, technical, and structured content best practices to strengthen discoverability and enhance Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) efforts. In close partnership with marketing leadership, the specialist contributes insights that inform optimization priorities while focusing primarily on high-quality execution and measurable search performance improvements.
Essential Functions (included but not limited to):
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis under leadership guidance.
- Optimize on-page SEO elements including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, schema markup, and internal linking.
- Implement SEO best practices across blog, product detail, and category pages.
- Structure content to improve discoverability within AI-driven search environments, including FAQ formatting and structured data enhancements.
- Draft blog articles, buying guides, FAQs, and educational content aligned with brand voice and search intent.
- Update and refresh legacy content to improve search rankings and AI citation visibility.
- Monitor organic traffic performance, keyword rankings, and emerging AI search trends.
- Assist with technical site audits, identifying indexing issues, crawl errors, and broken links.
- Support structured data implementation and content formatting improvements.
- Provide search and AI visibility insights during campaign and planning discussions.
- Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Ecommerce teams to ensure optimized content alignment across digital channels.

Skills:
- Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar).
- Understanding of on-page SEO, structured data, and schema markup implementation.
- Familiarity with generative search optimization principles and AI-driven discovery trends.
- Ability to evaluate AI search responses for brand presence and citation opportunities.
- Strong writing, editing, and content structuring capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Shopify or similar CMS platforms preferred.
- Comfort leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining editorial quality control.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data and identify optimization opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing.
- Experience supporting DTC or retail-driven brands preferred.
- Experience working with structured data and AI-assisted content tools preferred.
