Summary: The Customer Experience Representative supports the company’s brand and mission by ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate, thoughtful, and timely interactions while also contributing to sales growth through soft-sell techniques. This role balances service excellence with consultative sales, using proactive listening and solution-based communication to recommend products, share carts, and guide customers toward purchases that enhance their experience. As a front-line contact, this position is vital to strengthening the customer journey, increasing retention, and driving revenue.
 

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

Job Summary:

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the consistent quality of pillow and mattress production by performing in-line and final inspections, managing documentation, and supporting production teams in meeting BEDGEAR’s quality standards. This position also leads Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing, supports daily quality audits, and contributes to product development through sample preparation and testing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Production Quality Oversight

  • Conduct in-line and final inspections for pillows and mattresses, comparing against TOP samples or specifications.
  • Perform random spot checks throughout all production stages: prepping, filling, sewing, and labeling.
  • Collaborate with production staff to adjust fill weights or ratios based on foam density variations.
  • Guide operators on quality techniques and assist with minor machine adjustments or sewing troubleshooting.

Training & Communication

  • Train new operators on quality expectations and inspection procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor or Compliance Team in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Inventory and Warehouse teams to resolve bulk defect issues.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate digital and physical quality logs.
  • Track inspection outcomes and identify any nonconformances.
  • Document findings from investigations into defective raw materials or returned goods.

 

 

Sample & Product Development Support

  • Manage sample requests for special orders, trade shows, or product development.
  • Prepare and ship TOP samples and provide stakeholders with tracking updates.

RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Management

  • Perform initial inspections of returned items and report findings per standard RMA process.
  • Maintain RMA inventory and ensure proper case closure in collaboration with Quality Supervisor.

Inspection & Audit

  • Perform AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit)-based inspections on inbound raw materials and finished goods, especially for in-development or high-priority items.
  • Conduct Pass/Fail testing; must be able to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Support daily production audits via Microsoft Form.

Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience in quality control, production inspection, or manufacturing preferred
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing environments and inspection procedures
  • Experience reading work instructions or technical product specs (e.g., TOP documents)
  • Strong attention to detail with good documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods on the production floor
  • Familiarity with basic digital tools (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, internal tracking systems

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

· Associate’s degree in a technical or manufacturing-related field preferred

  • 1–2 years of experience in quality control, production inspection, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspection processes and basic testing protocols
