Description:
The Director of eCommerce & Digital Marketing is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the eCom business including business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design & management, customer service, web analytics, and web technologies. This position is responsible for mining, analyzing, and preparing data to understand customer trends and behavior, driving sales through strategic marketing initiatives, and optimizing the experience for eCom customers. Tile role will oversee global eCom strategy, including BEDGEAR.com as well as Amazon, and other online retail opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both ecommerce and brand/digital marketing. In addition, the candidate should have managerial experience in leading a team to develop a total business strategy. This position will not only require the ability to develop a strategy to grow business within current ecommerce channels, but also the vision to expand the business globally.
Job Duties (including but not limited to):
- Create, implement, measure, analyze, and report ln all KPIs for eCommerce strategy (performance dashboards for recurring and ad hoc analysis)
- Planning, executing, and reporting both short- and long-term goals associated with improving the company’s web presence and ability to facilitate sales transactions including bug fixes, additions, and upgrades. Projects include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and maintain ERP (NetSuite) integration for order processing and shipping
- Manages customer experience by ensuring bilateral communication between customers and the company
- Order and shipment acknowledgments
- Optimize budget, assortment, promotion, and communication plans across web channels to ensure optimal trade and brand awareness strategy
- Monitors and manages data inputs from various internal departments to ensure daily platform operations run smoothly and accurately, including but not limited to:
- Product assortments
- Product information including pricing
- Inventory balances
- Online promotions

- Drive execution of consumer-facing paid, owned, and earned digital media, creative & content development, media optimization, CRM programs and measurement
- Collaborates in the Amazon channel strategy and manages/participates in execution
- May be responsible for daily Amazon administrative support including but not limited to: assistance with reporting, 3rd party monitoring, product listing/photo maintenance
- Manage multiple teams, both onsite and overseas, ensuring projects are meeting deadlines, code is up to standards and functional, and communication remains open between departments
- Analyze existing web programs for functionality and complete modifications/upgrades or find replacements based on company goals
- Develop and oversee the QA protocol for all content execution across all online eCom platforms
- Implement SEO-driven code based on best practices
- Implement Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel tracking codes based on defined parameters by other teams in the company and improve user experience based on data received
- Collaborate with supply chain team to develop innovation, promotional, and baseline product forecasts
- Constantly stay current on the dynamics of the digital industry; keeping apprised of emerging technologies, key trends, and best practices
- Assist with other projects and assignments as requested by management
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• High-school Diploma or GED
• English Proficient (reading, writing, speaking/listening, comprehension)
• Ability and willingness to work full-time on-site at BEDGEAR's corporate office
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- Minimum 2-year degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other closely related field is highly preferred
- 5+ years of developing B2C eCommerce platforms and strategies, including leading eCom retailer sites such as Amazon
- 2+ years of Magento experience (preferably Magento 2.0)
- 2+ years of successful experience managing internal and external teams
- Sophisticated understanding of web analytics tools
- Working knowledge of the following programming languages is a plus:
- PHP
- Python
- HTML
- CSS/SCSS
- JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience and working knowledge of the following programs and web analytics tools:
- WAMP/LAMP stack
- MailChimp/Mandrill
- Amazon Retail Analytics
- Google Analytics
- Google Search Console
- API protocols
- ERP Systems; preferably NetSuite and/or other Oracle products
- Magento Commerce Cloud (and its associated features)
- Strong customer experience/service experience
- Strong project management experience
Additional Preferences:
- Experience working in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and/or consumer durables industry is highly preferred
- Experience working with a lifestyle brand
