About the Position:
Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, and management to deliver a superior brand and online shopping experience for all customers both on our own website & marketplaces, and those of our retail partners' direct-to consumer (D2C) sites. This leadership role will supervise a team of eCom and digital marketing professionals.
What's Expected (including but not limited to):
- Responsible for maintaining content and branding of the BEDGEAR corporate website and any subsidiary website(s)
- Management of site navigation, categories, features products, and rich content article placements
- Distribute/own the digital catalog of BEDGEAR products, understanding the impact product data has on the internal website, and external distribution points (bedgear.com, marketplaces, retailer sites, etc)
- Merchandising and assortment planning for all online D2C accounts
- Following product lifecycle management principles, close the feedback loop to product development from user generated content (reviews, customer experience/VOC data, etc)
- Product Information Management
- Pricing; establish product pricing strategies and margin structures that meet desired profitability thresholds
- Merchandising and assortment planning for all online D2C accounts
- Manage identification, implementation, and optimization of site segmentation/site personalization experiences
- Project manage the on-boarding of new marketplaces and fulfillment strategy with Operations
- Collaborate with Forecasting and Planning to create an ecommerce sales plan including promotional calendar and assortment selection
- Build the processes between website, customer, and direct/e-mail marketing
- SEM – build the strategy and yearly execution of the purchase of paid advertising on search engines, social networks, and forums
- SEO – build the strategy and execution to increase our website(s) natural position in search engine results
- Build a content strategy and budget for web, email, social media, mobile and landing pages that includes images, videos, tech articles and paid 3rd party content
- Introduce, recommend, and strategize to discover and understand our offerings using traditional and nontraditional activities through social media, events, forums, etc. based on the product and B2C audience.
- Mapping of the customer’s digital experience; work with various departments to create and ensure a personalized and unique user experience starting with the website browsing to the delivery of goods upon purchase
- Development of growth strategies for digital marketing and scalable B2C models
- Work hand in hand with Customer Experience on configuration and management of customer service tools
- Micro-site development strategy
- Creation and maintenance of digital marketing budget
- Analyze sales by marketplace and returns
- Assist with other marketing projects/assignments as necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or closely related field highly preferred though will accept equivalent working experience
- At least 5 years of progressive eCom & digital marketing experience (with at least 2 years with a consumer goods company)
- Proven experience as a strong-cross functional leader
- Experience managing external agencies
- Deep understanding of paid media with the ability to set strategy (including with major retailer media networks)
- Experience with Magento is a big plus
