About the Position:

The tradeshow and events manager has direct reponsibility over the project management of BEDGEAR's annual tradeshows and B2B marketing & sales events. Additionally, the position owns the day-to-day management of all BEDGEAR showroom spaces - including those in our corporate offices.

What's Expected (including but not limited to):

  • Manage Execution of all Tradeshows, Events and Showrooms (B2B)

o Work with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative Services, Product Development, and Sales to develop concept for upcoming trade shows and showrooms.

o Conduct Market committee meetings and manage process and execution.
o Create and manage time and action calendar for tradeshow and event deadlines (assortment, displays, graphics, etc.)

o Curate B2B Tradeshow and event requests and approve participation level.
o Responsible for all attendee and guest registrations and the coordination of pass retrieval

o Makes all travel arrangements for all attendees and guests including hotel/lodging, air, and rental cars
o Requires the careful coordination to time effectively and efficiently for cost management

o Responsible for all on-site event catering, and after event dinner reservations and entertainment if applicable.

o Delivers all products, displays and assets, both tradeshow and marketing related to ensure execution by set deadlines.

o Responsible for putting together talent plans for shows and partnering with HCC to execute.

o Interact with customers and vendors while onsite at any tradeshow, event or market.

o Source necessary vendors and negotiate contracts. (i.e., caterers, contractors, photographers/videographers, promo item companies, etc.)

o Collaborate with Marketing and PR on press releases, data capture, and internal/external communications regarding upcoming tradeshows.

o Host post-event recap meetings and complete post-show reports.

  • Establish inventory and logistic procedures for events and showrooms.
  • Create and track budgets for overall event/tradeshow spend.
  • Manage promotional item inventory.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of upcoming relevant events and tradeshows, tradeshow marketing trends, displays, showcases by drawing inspiration from in-field research.
  • Continuously research opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, and drive process improvement for all markets, events and tradeshows.
  • Assist with additional duties and responsibilites as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be willing and able to travel for up to one week at a time (4-8x per year)

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant marketing, events management, or project management experience
  • Experience sourcing and managing construction / facilities management vendors.
  • Visual merchandising experience is a plus.
  • Experience with retail operations is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to problem-solve in high-pressure situations.
