Description: This sales role is responsible for driving the sales of BEDGEAR’s products and services within a given territory. The will work in partnership with other internal sales support roles, as well as oversee a team of independent sales representatives.

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

  • Oversees a sales force of field representatives within region to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Provides input and suggestions for sales programs based off of information and trends specific to region and specific accounts
  • Develops long and short-term sales strategies
  • Regularly visits and manages accounts within territory for any number of the following account management functions:

o Opening accounts

o Taking orders/inventory checks/wellness-checks

o Ensuring product placement and assortment is up-to-date and merchandised properly

o Execute sales education classes

o Holds marketing & sales strategy meetings with customer counterparts

  • Acts as an advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within allotted budget
  • Ensure all sales representatives have current and accurate product, pricing, and shipping schedule information
  • Acts as liaison between independent sales force and VP – Marketing & Sales for approval on special pricing or discounts for specific accounts
  • Attend trade shows and industry networking events
  • Partners with sales operations to analyze activities within portfolio of customers and provide information to merchandising on product performance
  • Provide feedback and insight as to customer and consumer product/service needs and desires
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid driver’s license
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to obtain a passport if necessary
  • Travel required at least 75% of time
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidays
  • Must have a maintained home office to work from

Education/Experience/KSAs:

  • 5+ years marketing and/or sales experience (or combination of the two) with notable sales accomplishments
  • Home furnishings/retail mattress experience is highly preferred
  • Experience working remotely/autonomously at times
  • Proven ability to development meaningful relationships with key influencers
  • Experience delivering engaging and impactful marketing & sales presentations to groups of all sizes
