Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm (with 1 hour lunch break)
Salary Range: $61,750 - $108,800 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

Creative Ideation and Conceptualization:
  • Collaborate with the creative director and product development team to generate innovative and trendsetting product ideas.
  • Create inspiring mood boards, incorporating color palettes, materials, and design elements that align with the brand's vision and target market.
Pattern Design:
  • Develop original and eye-catching patterns for various product categories, demonstrating a keen understanding of aesthetics and consumer preferences.
  • Ensure patterns are versatile and can be adapted to different product types and materials.
Trend Analysis and Sample Research:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging design trends, materials, and color schemes that will resonate with the target audience.
  • Visit relevant designs, fabric shows to gather new ideas and materials.
Tech Pack Creation:
  • Create accurate tech packs, including technical drawings, measurements, material specifications, and construction details for production.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure seamless communication during the manufacturing process.
  • Work with 3D artists to get new designs visualized.

Design Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product developers, graphic designers, and marketing, to ensure cohesive and consistent design execution.
  • Provide design expertise and guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED;
  • BFA or MFA highly preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 2-4 times per year if requested
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office. *MAC + PC platforms*
  • High-level proficiency with various creative software and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); experience with 3D rendering software is a plus but not required
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and understand project requirements.
  • A keen eye for detail, color, composition, and typography, with a focus on maintaining brand consistency.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and materials, ensuring the feasibility of designs for production.
  • Familiarity with retail and trade show industry trends, customer behavior, and visual merchandising strategies
