About the Position:
This position is responsible for the driving brand awareness and sales in the Oklahoma and Arkansas markets. The Sales - Territory Manager is responsible for building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders of all levels within their designated territory, leading educational and inspirational meetings and presentations, and acting as a brand champion at our partner’s brick and mortar locations.

What Success Looks Like!
Success in the VP - Strategic Sales role means consistently driving profitable, year-over-year growth across the retail partnerships managed by this individual by expanding assortments, elevating marketing and RSA education programs, and ensuring strong execution of the in-store brand experience. This role is successful when BEDGEAR is viewed as a strategic, executive-level partner rather than a vendor, with high compliance, strong sell-through, and meaningful influence inside strategic accounts. At the same time, success includes building the future by closing and launching new top-tier retail partners, creating a healthy pipeline, and establishing a scalable foundation for sustained growth.

What's Expected (include but not limited to):

Strategic Account Management

  • Own executive-level relationships with select top 10 retail partners, serving as the primary strategic contact.

  • Drive incremental revenue through strategic assortment reviews, category expansion, and new product introductions.

  • Develop and execute elevated marketing programs in partnership with retailers, including in-store, digital, and promotional initiatives.

  • Lead the expansion and effectiveness of RSA education programs to increase product knowledge, engagement, and sell-through.

  • Ensure retailer compliance with BEDGEAR’s in-store experience standards, including POP, displays, fixtures, graphics, and merchandising execution.

  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, and customer success to deliver seamless execution and measurable results.

New Business Development (Top 50 Retailers)

  • Prospect, pitch, and close new business with top 50 retailers where BEDGEAR does not currently have distribution.
  • Develop compelling value propositions tailored to each prospective partner’s business model and customer base.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from initial outreach through negotiation, onboarding, and launch.
  • Build a robust pipeline of high-quality opportunities aligned with BEDGEAR’s growth strategy.

Revenue Growth & Strategic Leadership

  • Own revenue growth targets across managed accounts and new business development efforts.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities across assortments, categories, channels, and geographies.
  • Use data, insights, and retailer feedback to inform selling strategies and influence product and marketing roadmaps.
  • Represent BEDGEAR as a category leader and strategic partner within the specialty retail and broader bedding industry.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align on priorities, timelines, and execution plans.
  • Contribute to sales strategy, forecasting, and long-range planning at the executive level.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Travel required at least 75% of time
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidays

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • Proven success managing and growing large, complex retail accounts at an executive level.

  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, pitch, and close new business with top-tier national or regional retailers.

  • Strong understanding of retail environments, merchandising, in-store marketing, and RSA education programs.

  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite and senior retail leaders.

  • Highly strategic yet hands-on; comfortable operating at both the 30,000-foot and ground levels.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to support key accounts and new business opportunities.
