Summary: The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports our warehouse operation and oversees daily activities, ensure efficient processes, and maintain high standards of safety and organization. This role is critical in supporting the Warehouse Manager and ensuring the team meets operational goals.
Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
The Assistant Warehouse Manager must have an intermediate understanding of warehousing best practices and is responsible for providing uncompromised service to all Bedgear warehousing customers externally or internally in a swift, accurate and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and teamwork.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock audits to ensure accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in the development and execution of efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to streamline operations and improve communication.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory and operational metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and suggest solutions to increase efficiency.
- Assist in preparing reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and staff productivity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- HS Diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
- Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
MUST HAVE:
Ability to manage inventory, track shipments, and optimize storage space efficiently. Experience in supervising staff, training new employees, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensures accuracy in order fulfillment, inventory counts, and compliance with safety regulations. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing for long periods, and navigating warehouse environments. Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work schedules as needed. Understanding of regulations and safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Sensory Requirements: Should have working use of hearing and vision with or without the use of corrective lenses/hearing aids to be able to hear machinery horns, read paperwork and properly see product and product numbers, stand for an extended period of time, and frequently move about the facility.
Environmental: N/A - indoor warehouse environment (not climate controlled)
Language Skills: English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and algebra
Reasoning Ability: Solid understanding of branding and marketing communications strategies and tactics; excellent planning and problem-solving skills with limited resources; ability to effectively prioritize and project manage multiple assignments at any given time. Ability to use judgement to make decisions.
